Helen Drennen AM

CEO

A widely recognised leader in education in Australia and internationally, in 2019, Dr Helen Drennen AM, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Studio Schools of Australia.
Previously, Helen served 15 distinguished years as Principal of Wesley College in Melbourne. She was the first female to be appointed Principal in the College’s 152 years history. Between 2003 and 2018, Helen led the College through an historic period of transformation, innovation and change.
Helen’s career has spanned Victorian State, Australian National, and International Education, and she has taught in both Government and Independent school sectors in Australia and overseas.
Helen is currently the Chair of the International Baccalaureate Board of Governors, with Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, serving in this role since November 2020. In 2010, Helen was made a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators (FACE) and a Fellow of the Australian College of Educational Leaders (FACEL) in 2011. In 2016, she was recognised in the Australia Day Honours list as a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia.

Sheunesu Hove

CFO

Sheunesu is a seasoned financial executive with over 20 years of leadership experience across the education, non-profit, and corporate sectors. He brings deep expertise in strategic financial management, governance, and operational leadership.
His career is driven by a strong commitment to reducing poverty and disadvantage through education. Sheunesu believes that robust financial stewardship and strategic resource management are fundamental to creating accessible, high-quality educational opportunities for all students, particularly those in underserved communities. He has actively supported this mission through voluntary board and committee roles with educational not-for-profits, providing crucial governance and risk oversight.
Previously, Sheunesu served as Business Manager (CFO) for Preshil, The Margaret Lyttle Memorial School, where he led all non-academic functions of the School. Prior to that, he was the Finance Manager at Yarra Valley Grammar for nearly a decade, where he oversaw financial operations and system improvements for the large co-educational school.
Sheunesu holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) and is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA).

Luke Blackbourn

Director of Corporate Affairs

Luke brings over 20 years of experience in the Government and corporate sectors, with a focus on social impacts, energy and community issues.
He has worked in North America, Africa, Europe and Asia partnering with diverse cultures and stakeholder groups to support their development and inclusion.
Luke has worked closely with First Nations peoples in the Pilbara and surrounding regions over many years, and has sought to ensure their voices are central to discussions about their communities. Luke is passionate about creating opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, education and empowerment. He currently serves on the Community Advisory Committee for the Roebourne Police and Community Youth Centre (PCYC). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Graduate Certificate in Social Investment and Philanthropy.
